Space Hellas family bids farewell to Christos P. Bellos

With deepest sorrow, the Space Hellas family bids farewell today, 22 September 2026, to Christos P. Bellos, co-founder and long-serving Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors.

Christos Bellos was born in 1938 in Spata, Attica, where he grew up. He studied at the Hellenic Air Force Academy, graduating from the Aeronautical Engineering School (SMA), where he later served as a lecturer in the fourth year of studies. He pursued a distinguished career in the Hellenic Air Force and, after twenty-seven years of service and advanced training in the United States and Italy, retired with the rank of Lieutenant General.

In 1985, he took part in the founding of Space Hellas. Together with Dimitris Manolopoulos, he worked to build the company from the ground up and share their vision with all those who stood by them from the very beginning and believed in that vision. He was a truly exceptional person, distinguished by his passion, integrity, dedication and deep love for the company and its people. A man of strong values, generous, kind and always willing to support those around him, he earned the respect, appreciation and affection of us all.

Christos Bellos had a profound love for people, for life and for its simple joys. He expressed his ideas through his written work and through his paintings, leaving behind a lasting legacy.

With great respect and deep affection, we bow our heads in his memory, as a tribute to the love he showed to all of us, and to each one of us individually. He was one of those rare people who was always there for us, sharing our pain, offering support and embracing those around him. A charismatic, philosophical and artistic spirit, a friend, but above all, a true human being.

His passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of his family and in the extended Space Hellas family.
